Fees

Fees

Counselling fees are set in accordance with the recommended fee schedule of the Psychologist's Association of Alberta and are based on a 50-minute session. Each individual counselling session is $200, however, clients may be eligible for a sliding fee depending on their coverage and financial position. Please check with your employer or healthcare provider regarding coverage of psychological services as fees may be fully or partially covered.  Note: A referral from a medical doctor is not required to begin counselling services and there is no charge for the initial 15-minute phone consultation.

Payment Options

Payment, through cash, cheque, credit card, or e-transfer occurs at the beginning of each session and a receipt will be issued. This can occur through phone, text message, or email. You will be responsible for submitting any required documentation for your health care provider. Direct billing is available for RCMP, Veterans and those insured by Alberta Blue Cross.

Cancellation Policy

Please note that a full 24 hours notice is required for cancelling or rescheduling appointments. This can occur through phone or email.

  • If a client provides less than 24 hours notice, they will be billed 50% of the cost of their appointment.

  • A full session fee will be billed for clients who do not show up for their appointment and do not provide any notice.

  • Clients who arrive late will be limited by the remaining session time and a regular fee will be charged for the entire time reserved.

  • Cancellation fees are payable at the next session and are often not reimbursed by employee or insurance plans.

Special consideration may be given in circumstances in which advanced notice was not possible (e.g. medical emergencies, illness).
